Interesting tidbit about this building: My father was going to open another branch of his Kiru Steak House here – he’s already failed once on Wilshire with his Kiru Coffee Shop in the early 1950s and that had become Du-Par’s and he always regretted giving up too soon. The restaurant was going to be on the top floor with city wide views. I remember we all went up there to look at it. For reasons unknown to me, it fell through.
